Why does my cat's meow sound different? She gags a lot?
My cat usually has a very clear and high pitched meow but during the last few days, her meow sounds like she has a frog in her throat. She also makes gagging sounds sometimes, especially after she eats. She doesn't throw up though. What could be causing this?

- feed it differently
- Well, first of all, get her to a vet immediately. In the meantime, it sounds like she might have a fur ball stuck in her throat. She may eventually cough it up. Keep a very close eye on her until you see the vet.
- Sounds like an upper respiratory infection. I`d take her to the vet.
- Your cat has worms. Buy some cat's worming pills & follow instructions. Cats need worming every 3 months.
- it sounds like a fur ball to me
- Take the kitty to the vet. There could be something terribly wrong with it. Some hacking is normal--but not if it is happening often. Better safe than sorry.
- maybe she is an adut cat now
